This is one of the tastier winter vine squashes with creamy flesh that tastes like sweet potatoes. This is where the other name, 'Sweet Potato Squash’ came from. Elongated fruit is 7 to 10 inches long, pale cream with green stripes and dots. Delicata has thinner skin than some other winter squash that cuts the storage potential to about a month, but oh, what flavor!
