112 days. NON-GMO, OPEN POLLINATED, HEIRLOOM.

Silvermine was created by J.A. Beagley of Sibly, IL in 1890. This corn produces extremely high yields of very large, heavy ears at 11-12". Creamy white kernels. Does well on poor soils. Tight husk that resists corn ear worms.

Silvermine is an old dent variety that was once commonly grown throughout the Corn Belt of the United States. It's a little earlier than Boone County White with ears of similar size but usually has deeper grains. The ears have fourteen to sixteen rows of large, white kernels. Silvermine can be used as a roasting corn variety, and is also excellent for grits, meal, and animal feed.
