An old favorite in the South this heirloom okra is vigorous growing to 5' tall. Perkins Long pod produces a bright green pod that is 8" long. This is an heirloom, open-pollinated okra variety that was developed in the late 1800s. Also known as Perkins Mammoth Long Pod Okra, this variety is early maturing and very productive. Plants have been noted to start producing pods at just 6″ tall! Plants will grow to 5′ tall and will be loaded with tender, delicious pods.
