Shishito hot peppers are an East Asian pepper variety known for its slender and wrinkled appearance. A very mild pepper when compared to jalapeno, its smoky flavor is enhanced when grilled or roasted.
Almost always harvested when still green, most shishito peppers will be mild but occasionally a few individual peppers will be hotter than the rest.
